As the Health and Safety Lead, you will play a pivotal role in increasing the commitment to putting Health and Safety at the forefront of the business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategy, reporting and initiatives that align with our values and contribute to our long-term success.

Description

As the Health & Safety Lead you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the implementation of HSE policies across the company's property portfolio
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
  • Creating and developing a HSE Culture across the business
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits
  • Providing HSE training and awareness programs to staff
  • Investigating and reporting on HSE incidents
  • Developing and implementing HSE strategies and initiatives
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies
  • Regularly reviewing and updating HSE policies and procedures

Profile

A successful Health & Safety Lead should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • A degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and knowledge of ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO14001 and best practices
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or a similar role, with a strong NEBOSH background.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in risk assessment and incident reporting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and to lead and motivate others
