Quality Manager
£17 per hour

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm, Fri, 7am to 12pm
Newport (training initially in Treforest)
Acorn Recruitment are working with a pest control manufacturer seeking a quality manager to over their standards. Initially training will take place from the Treforest site for roughly 2 months and then will be fully based from Newport.
Job Duties:
* Work with relevant departments to achieve improvements in product or service quality that meets the companies and customers objectives.
* Read blueprints and specifications.
* Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
* Accept or reject finished items/raw materials.
* Perform in quality function to maximise and sustain continual improvement in standards
* Carry out internal audits in line with Annual plan.
Key Requirements:
* Previous management experience in quality control, ideally in a lab or chemistry based industry
* Experience with ISO 9,14 and 45001 desirable
* Experience in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques & tools 5s, Kaizen etc.
