We are working with a large public sector client to recruit a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team. This full-time position is a 6-month assignment based in Newry with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 3 days office attendance). The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring their successful delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project portfolio, monitor effectiveness, and implement improvements.
- Ensure smooth operations and achieve SMART objectives with delivery agents and suppliers.
- Evaluate proposals and applications for suitability.
- Prepare, monitor, and control budgets accurately.
- Prepare materials and present them to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Stay informed on regional trade, innovation, and entrepreneurship issues.
- Ensure adherence to employment and equality policies.
Essential Criteria
- At least 3 years' experience managing all aspects of a project lifecycle, including design, delivery, continuous improvement, monitoring, evaluation, and budgetary control.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and make effective decisions impacting successful project delivery.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining effective controls for accountability in project management.
- Proficient in IT within a business environment, including CRM/Database management.
This role will be a hybrid role with 3 days in the office in Newry. Although the role is initially for a 6-month period, there is a high possibility of longevity within this role.
