An opportunity has arisen for a Asset Development Managerto join our Asset team, to take ownership of delivering all aspects of strategy (Velocity) that relate to asset process and control, co-ordinating activity across the asset team and being a single point of contact for the transformation team.

To manage the business relationships with third parties providing A.I and internal stakeholders in setting algorithms, interpreting results and improving machine learning tools to optimise asset purchase, distribution and disposal decisions.
To coordinate project and change management within the asset team, or on strategic projects overseen from time to time by the director. 

Key accountabilities:

  • Working in conjunction with the transformation team, be responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering all aspects of strategic change initiatives that involve the asset division. This will include programs where the asset director is the sponsor and programs where the asset function are stakeholders, but not leading.
  • Take responsibility for making decisions within the delegated authority of each program to maintain momentum.
  • Ensuring that activity is coordinated and balanced across the asset team, eliminating contradiction, and avoiding conflict.
  • Overseeing quality assurance and testing for transformation activity within the team.
  • Coordinate asset related forecasting using machine learning techniques provided by third parties or internally.
  • Actively contribute to ensuring that parameters are set appropriately, and results are challenged to continually improve business performance resulting from data insight tools.
  • Provide project management support for strategic projects lead by the director of assets and projects.
  • Provide leadership to support successful change within the asset team.
  • Production of reports and slides for asset team VPR pack detailing progress updates.
  • Lead like you mean it, always working as part of a complete team, win hearts and minds and drive cultural change through teamwork within your area and the wider business. 
  • Flexible and capable to quickly adapt to a change and positively support the roll out of Velocity for colleagues and external customers.
  • To present and encourage a safe, positive, and professional work environment for the team and the wider business.

  • Ensure the GDPR policy is always followed.
  • Conducting additional ad hoc duties may be required.

  • Accountable for change management within your role which may involve facilitating and guiding organisational transitions to ensure successful adoption of new ways of working, processes, technologies, or strategies.
