Are you a dynamic and self-motivated Accounts Team Leader looking for a new permanent opportunity to work as part of a structured finance team?

Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a well-established and successful manufacturer in Co Down and are recruiting for an Accounts Manager / Accounts Team Leader.

The Role:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Team Leader will oversee the work of the accounts team and will assist with the preparation of management accounts and month end processes.

More specific duties include:

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Ensure all month end accruals and all cut offs are accurate for monthly management accounts

Maintenance of key control accounts and intercompany balances

Year end audit preparation and support during financial auditing of company accounts

Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register

Supervision of sales and purchase ledgers

Sales and profitability reporting to Directors at month end and year end (including sales reporting on an ad hoc basis)

Maintenance of Sales Order & Returns process (incl. maintenance of accurate pricing and promotion periods)Maintenance of Customer LTAs to ensure accurate reporting and accurate accruals at each month end

Payroll Supervision (Sage Pay)

Ad hoc duties as and when required including processing supplier and customer invoices

Team leading responsibility for accounts team on all aspects of the accounting function, including the managing and delegation of daily workload, resolution of any issues, provision of training and coaching where necessary

Essential Criteria:

5 year’s relevant experience in a similar roleStrong working knowledge of working up to trial balance and assisting with final accounts preparationMeticulously well organised and reliableExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsExperience of team leadingStrong IT skills, Sage 200 and Sage Payroll ideally with Sage 50 knowledge too and an understanding of stock control systems within a manufacturing environment

Desirable:

Part-qualified Accountant or Association of Accounting Technicians
