Tantallon House Care Home is looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant on a permanent basis with contracts for 40 hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to the cleaning schedules.
To ensure that statutory and Company Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
To ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable cook, chill goods as soon as possible after receipt and checking.
To ensure the correct, safe storage of cleaning materials in compliance with COSHH Regulations.
To ensure that all pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glass wear and service counter containers and equipment are cleaned to the required standards and correctly stored after cleaning.
To carry out any other reasonable instructions given by the Chef, Head Chef or Home Manager
ABOUT YOU:
To join us in the first phase of recruitment you will have experience in catering roles with preferably within a care home setting caring for older people or transferable skills from the hospitality sector.
You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of service, care and support for the residents.
You will have excellent communication skills and have a desire to work in a participatory manner with residents, relatives and colleagues to enable residents to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
You will have the ability to work positively as a member of the staff team and the flexibility to work alone when required.
You will have the right to work within the UK.
