About the Role:

GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified Graduate Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at Client Secondary Schools in North Shields, Tyne & Wear . As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a positive learning environment, fostering collaboration between students and faculty, and contributing to the overall success of our educational programs.

 

Graduate Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of dynamic and engaging lessons.
  • Offer individualized assistance to students, aiding them in understanding complex concepts and achieving academic excellence.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the holistic development of students by nurturing their social and emotional well-being.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience in a lively educational setting, ideal for those aspiring to become teachers.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday.  
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring. 
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us).
  • A fully checkable work history. 

 

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.

 

Furthermore, we currently offer £100 for successful referrals of either teachers or teaching assistants! We also provide a complimentary two-day Team Teach Qualification to candidates booked for long-term work in our schools. Conditions apply, and spaces are limited!
