Financial Content Writer

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and creative Financial Content Writer with a focus on consumer finance to enhance their marketing team. The successful candidate will specialise in creating engaging and insightful content specifically tailored to personal finance and consumer financial products across various platforms, including websites, blogs, emails, social media, and marketing materials. This role requires a deep understanding of financial topics, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft detailed and compelling content on financial topics for websites, blogs, email campaigns, social media, and promotional materials, ensuring the content is both informative and accessible to the target audience.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on consumer finance topics, including homeowner loans, credit, mortgages, pensions, and investment strategies, to produce content that is both factually accurate and highly relevant to their target audience. This research will support the creation of content that not only informs but also drives consumer engagement and lead generation for their financial products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure that all financial content is not only compliant with current FCA regulations but aligns with the brand's tone, style, and overall messaging strategy.
  • Edit and refine financial articles, pillar pages and reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, and engagement before publication.
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to enhance the visibility of financial content, incorporating relevant keywords and phrases without compromising the quality of information.
  • Create targeted content for paid search campaigns in the finance sector, including compelling ad copy, landing pages, and calls-to-action that resonate with financial audiences.
  • Monitor metrics related to content performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Stay updated with financial news, regulatory changes, and market trends to ensure content is current and provides valuable insights to the audience.
  • Handle multiple content projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Content Writer or Copywriter, preferably within the financial industry.
  • A portfolio of published financial articles or content that demonstrates expertise in financial writing.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English, with a specific focus on financial terminology and concepts.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to produce detailed and accurate content on a range of financial topics.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience in creating content optimised for search engines.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
