Impact Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing company based in Northampton, seeking a driven General Assistant to join their production team. Location: Northampton
Salary: 30,321 per annum / 14.58 per hour (Dependant on experience)
Hours: 6am - 2pm & 2pm - 10pm (Weekly rotating shifts, Monday to Friday)
The Role
As a General Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to Machine Operators, ensuring smooth production processes and maintaining high-quality output. You'll gain valuable experience across various aspects of the manufacturing floor - from preparing machines and handling materials to developing the skills needed to progress into a Machine Operator role.
Key Responsibilities
Support Machine Operators in the setup and operation of print and packaging machinery
Load and unload materials efficiently across production lines
Assist with ink changes, machine cleaning, and line maintenance between production runs
Monitor product quality and promptly report any faults or defects
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace
Carry out general production and warehouse duties as required
About You
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage, but not essential
Enthusiastic, hard-working, and eager to learn new skills
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
