CNC Milling Setter/Operator

Company Overview: Join our client dynamic team at an advanced manufacturing company based in Northampton, Moulton Park. Our client is a leading component provider specializing in CNC machining plastic components, lightweight foams, and composite patterns and molds.

Position: CNC Milling Setter/Operator

Type: Full-time (38.5 hours/week)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:45 to 16:15 & Friday: 07:45 to 14:45
Flexibility: Ability to work on a rotated shift pattern when required (morning/evening)

Salary: £15 per hour (DOE)

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC machinist
  • Formal apprenticeship is desirable but not essential
  • Prior experience operating vertical milling machines
  • Worked with high-tolerance F1, Oil and Gas, or aerospace components
  • Knowledge of HAAS & Siemens controllers is advantageous

Role: As a CNC Milling Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing one-off and small batch sub-contract machined components for industries such as F1, Aerospace, and Oil & Gas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working from engineering drawings to set and operate Haas & Belotti 3 & 5 axis machining centres with HAAS & Siemens controllers
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work and problem-solve unsupervised
  • Confident communication skills
