Impact are currently recruiting for an exciting role based in Northampton, working as a Joinery Manager for a national supplier specialising in contract interiors, signage, and display solutions. With a primary focus on national house builders, our client have established a strong reputation over the years for quality design, manufacturing, and installation services.

As the Joinery / Production Manager you will uphold company standards of excellence in workmanship. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, production teams, the creative team, and onsite installation teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical proficiency in joinery, and effective team management.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Holidays: 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Salary: 40,000 to 45,000, plus an annual bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee joinery projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications and deadlines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage all teams involved in the production process, including joiners, project managers, and installation teams. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Daily Operations: Conduct daily production meetings and develop detailed schedules to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
  • Design Coordination: Work closely with the creative team to ensure design plans are accurately translated into high-quality finished products.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure all products meet the company's high standards and client expectations.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of materials, ensuring the timely procurement of necessary supplies while minimizing waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, suppliers, and customers to ensure project requirements are fully understood and met.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in Joinery: Demonstrated expertise in joinery, with a solid understanding of materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Team Management: Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving common goals.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret design visuals and plan drawings accurately.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills to manage the production schedule, materials, and resources efficiently.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in using relevant software for project management, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Health and Safety: Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
