Head of Finance

Head of Finance Location: Northamptonshire Salary: £60-70K   Working for a leading and growing manufacturing company, operating on an international level, the Head of Finance will report to the MD and will have overall responsibility for the finance department and manage a small team.   The head of finance will quickly grasp the day to day, take ownership of the management accounts, and daily functions of the department, the Head of Finance will work with the wider management team to drive system optimization, and other initiatives to contribute to the overall strategic business plans.   The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to succeed and develop themselves for future promotion to Financial Director.   To be successful in this role the Head of Finance have:   ·Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally within the manufacturing industry ·Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. ·Solid understanding of financial principles and regulations ·Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. ·Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel. ·Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ·Strong commercial analytical experience ·Working knowledge of financial / ERP / payroll systems ·Excellent interpersonal skills / ability to communicate effectively with non-finance professionals. ·Pragmatic with sound problem solving abilities, and an exceptional eye for detail. ·Excellent organisational and time management skills ·Desire to become expand and become integral to the business, not just the account department.   Keywords: Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Senior Accountant, Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Finance Control, Financial Analysis
