A “good” Ofsted-rated school in Northampton is seeking an innovative Computer Science Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and computing, and ready to inspire and educate students in this rapidly evolving field.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-planned Computer Science lessons, with a focus on differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Utilise Assessment for Learning strategies to monitor progress and enhance the learning experience.
  • Set challenging tasks that stimulate student interest and contribute to raising standards of attainment, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Align lessons with the agreed classes/courses, focusing on developing the full potential of every student.
  • Foster a learning environment that values the skills, interests, and experiences of students, encouraging independence in their learning journey.
  • Maintain a stimulating and resource-rich learning environment in your teaching area.
  • Develop a wide variety of practical, oral, personal, social, and academic skills within the student community.
  • Collaborate with other staff and departments to ensure a coherent and comprehensive curriculum.
  • Uphold good discipline among students, recognising and rewarding progress.
  • Mark, assess, and moderate students’ coursework in line with the requirements of the examination boards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A strong academic record in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • In-school teaching experience, gained through Teacher training.
  • Knowledge of the Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
