Payroll Specialist Northampton ( Hybrid working )Monday – Friday 37.5hSalary DOE We’re seeking a detail-driven and strategic Payroll Specialist to lead our market leading clients payroll operations with precision and integrity. You’ll ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, advise stakeholders, and drive operational excellence across the board.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.
  • Ensure timely tax, benefits, and statutory deductions and payments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve employee payroll queries.
  • Ensure full compliance with local tax and labor laws; handle statutory filings and regulatory correspondence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payroll policies, systems, and compliance matters.
Leadership & Strategic Impact:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team; set clear goals and conduct performance reviews.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational processes and align payroll strategy with business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through robust controls, governance, and process improvements.
  • Provide expert consultation on escalated payroll matters and contribute to policy development.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory regulations, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle complex, sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and inspire others.
