Job Title: Teaching AssistantJob Type: Full-time, Part-time, Supply (must be available 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at least 2/3 days per week)Location: Northampton, NN4Salary: £85-100 per day

About the Role:We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Northampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of primary school students in a mainstream setting. You may also be required to provide additional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This position offers flexibility, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or supply work to suit your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as directed
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with SEN in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies

Requirements:

  • Some experience working with children, either personally or professionally.
  • Classroom experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
