Position: Quality Inspector

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)

Salary: 11.75 per hour

Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday - Thursday 7:00 to 15:30, Friday 7:00 to 12:30) + overtime when available

What We Offer:

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Inspector, you will be an integral part of the Quality team, responsible for:

  • Inspecting components to ensure they meet specifications outlined in technical drawings
  • Ensuring that operations meet internal and customer quality standards
  • Completing production Approval to Runs and conducting Quality/Process audits
  • Ensuring assembly operations comply with standard work, packing, and labeling requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with the Quality Management System
  • Performing gauge calibration and coordinating outsourced calibration services
  • Conducting MSA studies to validate gauging processes
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
  • Strong mathematical skills including trigonometry and measurement error analysis
  • Ability to perform "first principle" inspection using various measurement equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to be hands-on
  • Drive to develop and enhance skills and abilities
