Vehicle Logistics Planner - Northampton Salary - £30,000 Immediate Start Available  Our client, a well-established Vehicle Movement Company in Northampton are looking for an experienced Vehicle Logistics Planner / Vehicle Movement Allocator to join their successful team.

Our client work with a variety of customers including Leasing Companies, Major Daily Rentals, Dealer Groups and Manufacturers. Their fleet of drivers carry out the movement of vehicles via Trade Plates, Inspect and Collect services for the Leasing sector and the handover of new retail vehicles for Dealers and Leasing companies.

Reporting to the office Manager you'll be working in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Experienced in the driven vehicle delivery industry with strong driver management skills, you'll appreciate that our workforce is our greatest asset; a strong understanding of a driver's role and the challenges faced out on the road is therefore essential.

Skilled at relationship building you'll become the driving team's first point of contact, gaining great results from influencing, understanding, and leading. A strong communicator you'll possess the skills and the confidence to spot and report operational complications, thereby avoiding potential issues. Calm with a positive approach you'll have experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.

This is a people management role in a customer centric business and KPIs focus on efficiency and delivery performance. As an integral member of the team, you'll strive to refine and improve delivery performance thereby contributing to profitability and growth.

Duties will involve:Taking orders over the telephone and email.

  • Planning up to 40 drivers with routes around the country using public transport.
  • Talking to customers to make sure the vehicles are ready to collect.
  • Data Input.
  • Liaising with the drivers on a daily basis.
  • Problem solving and thinking outside of the box.
  • Updating internal and external systems with POD's and POC's
