We are seeking an Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Rushden from September. This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for an individual who is passionate about fostering creativity and skills in various art forms within a secondary education setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring art lessons that engage students and foster their creativity and skills in various art forms.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage their artistic development.
  • Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that is conducive to learning and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and actively participate in school events and art exhibitions.
  • Stay current with developments in art education and integrate new ideas and techniques into the teaching plan.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree in Fine Arts, Art & Design, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in Art.
  • Experience teaching Art at the secondary education level is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for art and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
