We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a reputable educational trust with secondary schools located in Bedford, Northampton, and Luton. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to providing a high standard of education to students across KS3 to KS5 (optional). This role is perfect for an ECT who is eager to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment and contribute positively to the students’ learning experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, maintaining regular records of academic performance.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment conducive to student learning.
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive academic support for students.
  • Participate in school-related activities, including performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain an orderly and safe learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in a relevant subject area.
  • Recognised teaching qualification, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and its practical application in the classroom.
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to accommodate various learning styles.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students’ lives.
