Finance Manager
Location: Northfleet
Salary: Up to GBP60,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Job type: Permanent, full-time
Purpose of the Finance Manager:
You will be responsible for all Company financial accounting reporting, audit, and legislative requirements, including Payroll, Contractor Industry Scheme (CIS), Pension, Making Tax Digital (MTD) and periodic reporting. You will assist department heads with all company and contractual budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting.
You will be an expert in your field by having demonstrable experience of understanding and interpreting all HMRC reporting, as well as maintaining accurate and timely company accounting records.
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
Provide proactive management, leadership, supervision, and guidance to the Finance Team, leading by example. Ensure all Finance Team members have agreed to and are aware of their personal goals and how these support the company goals.
Responsible for maintaining strong financial controls across the department and wider organisation.
Ensure all Company financial, accounting, and statutory requirements are continually maintained and submitted on time as required.
Maintenance of the company Accounting System and day to day management/ supervision of all Company finance functions.
Preparation of year end accounts for Auditor.
Undertake user acceptance testing as required for new financial systems.
Carryout further tasks, as may be from time to time, delegated to you by your manager.
Requirements of the Finance Manager:
Must either have ACCA OR QBE (Qualified by experience).
Strong experience of budget setting.
Strong experience running annual audit.
Good understanding of payroll, CIS scheme and all HMRC legislative responsibilities.
Strong IT skills (MS office, Excel and modelling).
Excellent timekeeper, highly organised and flexible approach to work.
Ability to consistently produce work of the highest standard with good attention to detail.
Must be prepared to participate in the training of the Finance Team.
