Electrical Estimator

Our client is a well established, family-run firm with a focussed plan for growth. They are looking for an estimator to join their existing team and will consider both experienced candidates and those with a strong electrical background who are looking to develop their estimating skills and grow into the role.

The Role: As an Electrical Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in project lifecycle. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Estimation Expertise: Utilize your expertise to accurately estimate the costs and resources required for electrical aspects of M&E projects.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications.
  • Collaborative Coordination: Collaborate closely with our project management and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of estimates into project plans.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E industry or a strong electrical background and the skills and drive to develop in the role as an estimator.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday based in the office

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • surveying: 1 year (required)
