Do you have a passion for working with young people? Do you feel you could make a real difference to student's lives? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Enfield, North London which requires a Behaviour Mentor for an immediate start. You will be supporting students with behaviour needs, keeping them on task, supporting them socially and emotionally.

This role would suit a confident individual, ideally with prior experience in a similar behaviour mentoring position. You will need to be understanding but also firm. You will need to have strong Admin skills, ideally some SIMS knowledge to log progress reports for the students.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely 121 in class
  • Providing a visible presence in the school to ensure that positive behaviour is consistent
  • Ensure that low level disruption is not tolerated, and that good behaviour is promoted at all times
  • Manage and de-escalate behaviour incidents and offer ways to self-regulate challenging incidents
  • Making sure that classwork is carried out when students are in the isolation room
  • Monitoring detention sessions

The school is a large Ofsted rated "good" secondary school. The school has plenty of opportunities to progress due to its size. The school is based a short 7 min walk from the nearest station and is also surrounded by multiple bus routes. There is parking on site for drivers.

This is a term time only position, starting in September, until the end of the academic year, July 2025. The hours are 8:15am - 4:15pm, Monday - Friday. The daily rate is £90-100 per day depending on experience.
