As a WordPress Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining WordPress-based websites for their clients, ensuring high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly web experiences. Responsibilities:
  1. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  2. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional websites.
  3. Customise and extend existing WordPress functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  4. Optimise website performance, speed, and security, implementing caching mechanisms, CDN integration, and security best practices.
  5. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure seamless functionality across different devices, browsers, and screen sizes.
  6. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing WordPress websites, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates and enhancements.
  7. Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to improve website performance and user experience.
  8. Collaborate with the SEO team to implement on-page SEO best practices and optimise website content for search engines.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress-based projects.
  2. Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development, including custom theme development from scratch.
  3. Solid understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
  4. Experience with WordPress APIs, hooks, and filters, as well as popular WordPress plugins and frameworks.
  5. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and code collaboration tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
