Reed Accountancy, Norwich is excited to be working with an innovative and growing, family run business based to the East of Norwich (parking available). This business is seeking to recruit a full time, 37.5 hours a week, assistant accountant working on a permanent basis due to internal promotion.
This assistant accountant role will give the successful candidate a chance to grow their accounting experience alongside the finance manager whilst providing vital day to day financial support.
Assistant Accountant role and responsibilities:
- Accounts payable, payment runs, and bought ledger maintenance.
- Sales invoicing and sales ledger maintenance.
- Credit control and aged debt reporting.
- Bank and petty cash reconciliations.
- Inter-company transfers and recharges.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Staff expenses and company credit card processing.
- Assisting the finance manager with VAT returns and compliance.
