Our client is a growing public sector employer in Norwich. Due to expansion they are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities.
This role is crucial in maintaining the good condition of our infrastructure, ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, adept at optimising space and equipment use, and focused on reducing operating costs. Strong leadership abilities and a drive for efficiency will distinguish you in this role. Our aim is to ensure that all facilities and buildings are maintained to the highest standards, providing a problem-free and safe environment for users.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee and manage all building-related activities, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Optimise the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs.
- Maintain facilities in excellent condition, conducting regular inspections and maintenance.
- Manage any refurbishments, renovations, and office moves to improve efficiency and ensure minimal disruption to services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage and lead a team, providing clear direction and supervision.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
- Be available to cover evenings and weekends when required, with time off in lieu as part of the working week.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or relevant position.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical/critical thinking.
- Ability to manage a team and multiple projects.
- Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle (essential car user allowance provided).
