Ground Maintenance Operative/ Solar Ground Maintenance Operative - Do you enjoy being responsible for your own time and output? Spider is supporting a Grounds Maintenance company who are currently recruiting Solar Ground Maintenance Operatives to join their team in Diss. They specialise in essential maintenance and expert install support to all sectors of the renewables industry. They are based in Diss, Norfolk but due to a new and exciting contract the company they are seeking experienced Solar Ground Maintenance Operatives to work and travel across the UK. The company’s specialist focus is on utility scale solar and onshore wind and sees them working with many of the UK sector's leading ops, maintenance, and asset managers, delivering a full portfolio of support services. Their team is growing, and they need the right person to grow with them!

  • Competitive Salary: On offer is a competitive salary of £25,000- £30,000 per annum, depending upon experience and completion of a satisfactory 6-month probation, with stay away (when applicable).
  • Holiday: 28 days plus Bank Holidays.

  • Other benefits: Opportunities for progression. You will have your own work vehicle and fuel card. There will be occasional overnight stays as well as travelling.
     

As the Solar Ground Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Grounds Maintenance.
  • Grass cutting with various machines ranging from mowers to tractor mounted flails.
  • Strimming.
  • Spraying.
  • Tree works from felling to planting.
  • New planting maintenance.
  • Fencing.
  • Hedge cutting.
  • Winter Maintenance.
  • Panel cleaning.

The successful Solar Ground Maintenance Operative will demonstrate a positive self-starting approach and the desire to get the job done. The work is a key part of keeping the world of renewable energy working well and while the job is physically demanding and varied it genuinely makes a difference.

You will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of grounds maintenance. You will be supported in developing your skills and career with a wide range of machinery, activities, and opportunities however they are ideally looking for the right candidate to be experienced who can hit the ground running!

A full, clean driving license is essential for this role! As a growing company they can offer great opportunity for progression to the right person.
