Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer

Due to the continuous growth this internationally renowned engineering company are now seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer to join them at their central Norwich site.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for the factory acceptance testing of a wide range of machinery, from component level to final assembly.

As the Test Engineer will be responsible for checking and verifying build standards and functioning of equipment to engineering specification and tolerances in a modern, state of the art manufactoring environment.


Key Skills and Relevant Experience:

  • The ability to test complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams
  • Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing and splicing
  • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment and able to follow complex test specifications
  • Proficient in fault finding and ability to diagnose in a methodical method
  • Familiarity with a variety of Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident and Cable production techniques
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) awareness
  • Assembly and testing/repair of PCB's

Ideally you will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering or be educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.


The working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15am- 5.00pm and Friday 8:15am- 12:45pm.

You will be rewarded with a market rate salary which will increase as you train in the role.

In addition, you will receive 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, company pension and free parking.
