Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to manage financial transactions and support our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling a high volume of invoices and knowledgeable in VAT and UTR numbers.
Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Run through 100+ invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process supplier invoices, prepare payments, issue customer invoices, and track incoming payments.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Enter financial transactions, reconcile bank statements, and maintain the general ledger.
- Expense Management: Process employee expense reports and manage petty cash.
- VAT Compliance: Handle VAT calculations and submissions.
- UTR Numbers: Use UTR numbers for subcontractor payments and ensure compliance.
- Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining documentation.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the construction and design industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
