Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Specialist SchoolLocation: Quidenham, NorfolkSalary: Actual salary £21,709.61 - £22,388.59 dependent on experience.Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 4.30pm (5pm on Thursday, extra half hour taken off on another day)We are currently seeking both primary and secondary Teaching Assistant's to join a specialist school based in Quidenham, Norfolk for students with communication and interaction difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. The role:The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the children with their learning and care whilst in school and other settings. As well as developing and delivering personalised learning, you will work with colleagues to support pupils with their daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour management. A tailored approach to the individual child ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. The Teaching Assistant will need to support the Class Teacher with the day to day running of the class.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career whilst you help shape and develop our provision to achieve this. Experience /Qualifications:• GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Level 2 or C grade or equivalent is essential.• Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards / happy to work towards).• Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.• Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.• Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are strongly advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
