We are excited to offer an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring developers to join our Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship program. The role requires diligent learning and understanding of software applications. You will be involved in the continuous pursuit of software excellence through thorough testing of applications and digital workflows. This will begin with assisting in the design phase of new features in order to create timely test plans and think through error handling scenarios.

You will be a self-starter able to drive your role forward independently but as part of a close-knit team. Close collaboration and clarity of communication is essential for this role. A raw curiosity is critical to support the deep-diving required to ensure quality software is delivered to our customers.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.


  • Code Development: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the supervision of senior developers. Contribute to various parts of the software development lifecycle such as alignment with deployment types and timelines.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct basic testing of the software developed to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. Debug code and fix defects as identified during testing phases.
  • Technical Documentation: Assist in the creation of comprehensive documentation for the code and software functionalities to support future maintenance and operations team adoption.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Actively participate in team meetings and collaborative sessions with other developers to share ideas and improve development processes. Learn from peer reviews and senior developer feedback to enhance skills. Train operations team members.
  • Business integration: Understand the workflows and outcomes desired by the consumer by engaging with customer facing roles and business leads to make fit for purpose software.
  • Research and Adaptation: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Explore new tools, technologies, and programming techniques to enhance personal development and team productivity.

Salary, Hours Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday (35 Hours Per week)
  • £15,000 Per annum
  • 25 Days holiday + bank holidays
  • Excellent progression opportunities
