The Client:

A leading Procurement advisory business focused on the Energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Energy team to ensure a seamless end-to-end procurement journey, on-boarding of suppliers, and management of energy products and services
  • Utilise extensive knowledge of the Energy industry to work towards future volume growth budgets, building new relationships, and enhancing existing supplier relationships
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, focusing on increasing client commitment and growing volumes
  • Contribute to business plan and budget forecasting, providing necessary commentary and reporting on performance through monthly board reports and weekly Energy reports
  • Manage and develop the team to exceed business targets and KPIs, identify efficiency's, and ensure compliance with energy processes and procedures

Key Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills, data analysis and presentation skills - able to write reports, articles and present in front of an audience
  • Experience within the Energy industry or otherwise have a depth of experience buying Energy
  • Able to identify new business opportunities and drive increasing client commitment
  • Management and/or previous experience in a consultancy environment
  • Able to establish strong supplier relationships partnerships and drive competitive pricing and improve service levels for clients
  • MCIPS/CIPS useful but not essential
