This structural consultancy based in Nottinghamare looking to fill a permanent senior position within the structural engineering section of the firm to deal with an increase in workload and assist in the further development and growth of the team and the firm. To be considered youwill be a Senior Structural Engineer at or near MIStructE / MICE status and have design experience in a UK based consultancy. You will haveexperience working in the commercial, industrial, health, education, leisure, residential and retail sectors. You should have experience with both new build and refurbishment projects.
You will be required to work either individually or as part of a team with the ability to mentor less experienced staff. Alongside your technical skills you must demonstrate good financial management ability as the role will involve assessing potential projects and preparing fee quotes.
You must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to listen and respond to the needs of clients. The role will also involve maintaining and developing client relationships.
You will be proficient in the design of all structural materials and possess a sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations. A working knowledge of the Eurocodes and Finite Element Analysis packages is essential.
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this position.
