National Key Account Manager/ Sales Manager, FMCG

£50,000 Basic, £60,000 OTE (realistic Year One) + Company Car

This household name and well recognised brand is looking for an experienced National Account Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing relationships, growing sales and distribution through established grocer, convenience and discounter channels.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop sales strategies and plans to penetrate the Organised Retail & Discounters markets effectively.
  • Prospect, identify, and acquire new convenience stores and wholesale clients.
  • Develop strategies to retain customers and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of products or services offered and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
  • Set competitive pricing strategies and negotiate terms and conditions with customers to secure profitable deals.

About You:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in FMCG sales, ideally into grocers and discounters.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing channels.
  • Have a strong understanding of the UK retail landscape, with established contacts with buyers within major retailers.
  • Have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Have the ability to negotiate effectively and close deals
