Job Title: Customer Service Manager                   

Salary: £30,000

The role

Our client based in Nottingham who specialise in providing an exceptional order fulfilment service to their customers, are seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to join their team on a full time basis.

The role will offer a fast pace and varied position, managing a team of customer service executives as well as being a confident communicator when speaking with clients and key accounts. You will be experienced in working to SLA’s and pride yourself on building excellent working relationships. You will lead by example and always go above and beyond for your team to achieve goals and meet required deadlines.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have experience of working in supply chain or logistics. It is also beneficial for the successful applicant to have an awareness of Health and Safety in the work place.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Understand the importance of profit and enhanced profitability
  • Actively gain an insight into a client’s business to understand challenges being faced
  • Identify improvement opportunities and communicate internally a recommended plan to ensure these are addressed
  • Demonstrate the skills required to manage activity to contractual service levels
  • Constantly maintain best practise solutions within the organisation and assess suitability to add value to client’s activity
  • Attend site morning briefs
  • Provide weekly reports to the Senior Customer Services Manager and Business Development Director

Skills and experience sought

  • A personable approach to build strong working relationships
  • Demonstrate a natural ability to assess, adapt and engage with individuals and the team
  • Actively participate in and support a culture of performance, target achievement and success
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Strong administration skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Ability to interrogate management information to highlight development opportunities and key client insight
  • Data management skills to provide information upon which decisions can be taken
  • Ability to produce accurate and appropriately designed management information reports
  • Understand the importance of and create accurate internal financial reporting
  • A commitment to the production of accurate and complete invoicing
  • Good communications skills
  • Understands the importance of sharing best practise and actively communicate to others.
