We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the Estates team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust on a temporary basis. You will play a key role in keeping hospital facilities safe, reliable, and compliant — ensuring vital services run smoothly for staff and patients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your electrical expertise in a supportive NHS environment where your work directly contributes to patient care and safety.

Temporary placement up to 6 months

Work carried out will include:

• Small installation work

• Lighting maintenance – lamp and fitting replacement

• Power circuits maintenance (socket changes, wiring repairs)

• Emergency lighting testing and replacement

• Testing & inspection remedials (C2/C3 correctives)

• Door access system repairs (training on equipment provided)

• Nurse Call system repairs (training on equipment provided)

• Plant repairs – air handling units, pumps, and controllers

• Isolation of fire alarm circuits

• Supporting planned power outages/emergency breakdowns (occasional out-of-hours)

• Assisting the wider Estates team, including during emergencies

What we’re looking for:

• NVQ Level 3 qualified

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• Strong electrical maintenance and testing experience

• Flexible, proactive, and able to work across planned and reactive tasks
