Our client a well-respected and reputable legal membership organisation is currently looking for an Events Manager.

The Role

The focus of this role is to Lead a team to deliver the membership organisations annual programme of training events.

Team management

Lead and manage a team of Events Officers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance their facilitation skills and professional development.

Training delivery

  • Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of the events, ensuring that the facilitators are prepared, equipped to deliver.
  • Develop training frameworks by member type, specialism, and career stage.

Stakeholder collaboration

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including members, experts, speakers to understand training content and objectives, ensuring alignment with organisation mission.

Continuous improvement

Continuously evaluate and improve training delivery methods based on feedback, internal operational objectives, industry best practices and emerging trends

Data

  • Use data and insight to understand trends within the membership.
  • Use data and insights to drive the proposition and promotion, improve processes, and drive performance.

Compliance

Ensure all training complies with the membership organisations standards and organisational policies.

Events

  • Oversee and manage the team delivering a high-quality event programme.
  • Work with Events Officers to ensure that quality of content for training courses and meetings is met and maintained.
  • Work with conference planning committees to develop programme content for the events, ensuring good topics and diversity of speakers.

Budget responsibility

  • Overall responsibility for meeting budgetary targets, all planning and organisation, including sponsorship and exhibitions.
  • Work with the senior management board to agree budgetary targets.

Maximise income through good quality content in line with membership needs

Continuous improvement

Continuously evaluate and improve events based on all round feedback and emerging trends.
