Empowering Learning are working with a school in the Nottingham area (NG9) who are looking to appoint a year one class teacher for the final term of the academic year. The school is a one form entry school and has recently had an OFSTED grade of 'Good'
The school are looking for someone who:
- Has previous teaching experience within KS1
- Is willing to contribute towards end of year report writing
- Can deliver engaging sessions and inspire children
- Has excellent classroom control
- Possesses strong behaviour management skills
- Has a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
The main duties within the role are:
- Planning and delivering engaging sessions to a year 2 class
- Working cohesively with the other class teacher in the phase
- Delegating a classroom TA to work with targeted children
- Differentiating sessions to meet a range of needs in the class
- Liaising with the school SENCO around progress of pupils with SEN
