With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality, they are committed to delivering exceptional service to their clients across Manchester and surrounding areas.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join the team based in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing installations, maintenance and servicing tasks primarily in retail premises and other commercial sites. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of refrigeration systems in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
  • Perform inspections and testing of electrical equipment and components to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to coordinate work schedules, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs, using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to colleagues and clients as needed, including participating in training sessions and workshops.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Qualification in Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning.
  • FGAS (C&G 2079 Cat 1 or equivalent)
  • Hydrocarbon (City and Guilds 6187-21 or equivalent)
  • Good Electrical Competency
  • SPA Forecourt licence (desirable)
  • Strong experience working on commercial refrigeration equipment, such as; Display Refrigeration, Cellar Cooling, Cold Rooms, Ice Machines, Bottle Coolers
  • Full UK Driving Licence
