We are seeking qualified children's residential support workers and senior support staff for various clients and positions. Please note that we are not offering visa sponsorship for these roles.





Package Description

Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Location: Nottingham

Salary: 25,552.80 - 26,972.40 (12.60 - 13.30 per hour) + plus additional 3,000-6,000 on sleep-in's/ year)

Full time hours working 24 hour shift, long day plus sleep in.

Full UK Driving licence is required.

NVQ3 in Residential Children Support is required

As a therapeutic support worker you will:

  • Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a registered manager.
  • Act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs.
  • Enjoy fun activities and days out such as football, play station, cycling and baking.
  • Encourage and share hobbies and interests
  • Carry out household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
  • Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
  • Build friendships and trusting relationships
  • Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
  • Empower them to make decisions about themselves

What do you need?

  • The ability to relate well and share interests, give encouragement and get involved.
  • Minimum one year children residential support work experience in the UK
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient with a keen interest in young people and their lives today.
  • Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
  • Experience within children residential care is must.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
