Domus are on the lookout for a Supported Living Service Manager to take the reins of a well-established residential service in Mansfield, in need of turnaround.This is a specialist that supports adults with Learning Disabilities / and or Autism.A supported living service consisting of 9 individual apartments with internal and external communal spaces. Supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs that some may find challenging. We are looking for a self-starter to join the Consensus team to be at the centre and development of a brand new service situated in the heart of the local community.You will work proactively to build effective working relationships with Local Authority practitioners, families/carers and other stakeholders and your strong vision and coaching approach will enable the development of your team and service.Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Supported living service manager, with excellent leadership, management, and organisational skills.Key Responsibilities of a Supported Living Service Manager:
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of staff to enable them to maximise their potential, through leadership, coaching, example, support and guidance.
  • Responsible for budget management.
  • Adhering to all CQC regulations and raising standards of care where necessary.
  • Be responsible for the negotiation of contracts and fees with Local Authorities and PCT`s for new and existing services.
  • You will be required to maintain the high care standards that have been set in the apartments and be an excellent manager of staff.
Supported Living Service Manager Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) or the ability to work towards.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of CQC, Health and Safety and Local Authority requirements.
  • Experience of managing residential / and or supported living services for adults with Learning Disabilities.
  • A background in recruiting staff team and occupancy.
  • Experience of line managing a large staff team.
