We are looking for an experienced Lead Buyer to join an established manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire.
As a Lead Buyer, the successful candidate will develop and pursue purchasing opportunities and negotiate contracts.
Duties of a Lead Buyer include:
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Analyse industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- To positively impact the company's KPIs with particular focus on EBIT
- To establish and support long-term supplier relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness
Qualifications and skills required:
- CIPS Qualified (Essential)
- Strong Team player
- Good knowledge of all MS Office applications, specifically Excel to an advanced level
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Confident and well organised
- Proactive and able to multitask.
- Drive and determination to succeed.
- Strong and confident communication and customer liaison skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high level attention to details
Salary up to £40k
Working Monday - Thursday 7.00 am - 16.00 pm & Fri 7.00 am - 12.00 pm
