Graduate Electrical Engineer – Technical Sales Engineer
- £33,000 - £38,000 basic salary
- Quarterly bonus paying £6,700 per annum

Office based in Nottingham with the potential for hybrid working
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineering Graduate, who will receive full OEM training to become a Technical Sales Engineer.
It must be highlighted that this opportunity is starting as a 12 month maternity cover contract, but it is highly, highly likely to become a permanent role. You will start as an internally based sales engineer, with a full OEM standard training period provided. In time you will have the opportunity to work hybrid, most likely 2 days a week at home. Then progress, either into a more senior technical sales engineer, field sales engineer or export sales, after 12 months or less.
The company is an electrical engineering equipment manufacturer with the culture of a small business. They are a friendly, experienced and welcoming team who will help you in the day-to-day role and provide assistance with your progression into a UK Field Sales Engineer position.
The Role
- Qualify inbound sales leads and technically complex applications and issue quotations
- Demonstrate company products in person and digitally
- Perform site surveys at customer sites across the UK plus attend trade shows
- Monitor the UK sales pipeline, prioritise workload and proactively influence and close orders
The Person
This role requires:
- Experience in a highly regulated industry: aerospace, defence, hazardous environments (ATEX rated products), oil and gas, nuclear etc.
- A qualification in electrical engineering or related such as electronic engineering, control and instrumentation engineering OR demonstrate knowledge gained in work
- Proven experience in a sales or commercially focused position
- Living commutable to Nottingham, you could live in or near Beeston, Grantham, Long Eaton, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, Castle Donington etc.
