MS411 - PCV Mechanic
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £19.61 per hour
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking PCV Mechanic on behalf of one of clients. Applications from HGV Mechanics will also be given due consideration.
Hours of Work:
- Sunday to Saturday, five from seven. Varying hours on a rotating shift pattern.
- 4 x 8 hours and 1 x 7.5 hours shifts
- 37 paid hours, 39.5 hour week total
Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To maintain, inspect, diagnose, repair and test mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
- To carry out any repairs as necessary to ensure safe and roadworthy vehicles to a high standard of reliability and quality
- Carry out any reasonable maintenance activities
- Adhere to health & safety standards
Skills & Qualifications:
- Have a strong work ethic and understand the need to be reliable and flexible
- Full UK driving licence
- PCV driving licence is desired however training may be considered for the right candidate
- Experience of Cummins & Scania drivetrain & electrical systems
- Experience of modern electrical systems & OEM diagnostic systems
- At least 3 years post qualifying experience ideally in a main dealer or PSV workshop
- Holder of a recognised apprenticeship qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ level 3)
