Are you a talented Purchase Ledger professional seeking a new opportunity to showcase your skills? We have an exclusive opening for a Purchase Ledger Specialist role with our esteemed client. This position offers the flexibility of working anywhere between 30 - 40 hours per week, enabling you to achieve some welcome flexibility in work-life balance. (The salary above will be pro-rata accordingly)

Your Role:

As a Purchase Ledger Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the purchase ledger function of our client's finance department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting the processing and reconciliation of purchase invoices, maintaining precision and adherence to company protocols.
  • Verifying the authorisation of purchase invoices before initiating payment procedures.
  • Managing employee expense administration tasks.
  • Performing reconciliations of the cash book at month-end.
  • Engaging with suppliers, internal teams, management, and relevant stakeholders to handle inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Collaborating with the Financial Controller and colleagues to enhance processes and streamline operations within the purchase ledger function.
  • Assuming responsibility for the position and exhibiting leadership qualities to propel departmental success.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in purchase ledger or accounts payable functions, possessing a comprehensive grasp of associated processes.
  • Exceptional focus on detail and organisational proficiency, adept at efficiently managing concurrent tasks.
  • Competency in utilising accounting software and the MS Office suite, with training available for the proprietary in-house system.
  • Effective communication skills, encompassing written and verbal aptitude, facilitating engagement with both internal and external stakeholders, alongside fostering robust supplier relationships.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach, capable of identifying and enacting process enhancements.
