Health & Safety Officer

In return for your experience, this business will offer you a full-time permanent contract, annual salary of up to £40,000 per annum, and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has a minimum of 5 year's Health & Safety experience gained from the manufacturing industry, preferably high hazard industry (Chemicals & COMAH).

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has experience with conducting and reviewing Risk Assessments, Incident investigation, auditing, report wiring and developing current H&S guidelines in line with changes and updates of current H&S legislation.

This client based in West Bromwich, requires a Health & Safety Administrator on a permanent basis.

As a Health & Safety Officer, you will be required to:

• Assist the Production and Engineering Management team in developing risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Assist with the maintenance of the site's environmental management system
• Compile reports aligned to the requirements of the site's Environmental Permit
• Ensure suitable SHE inspection and auditing programmes are established and implemented
• Support the development and delivery of Site Safety Meetings and other Safety communications

Minimum of 5 years Health and Safety experience gained from manufacturing, preferably high hazard industry, chemicals and COMAH

Risk assessment review and development

• Incident investigation, root cause analysis, auditing and report writing
• NEBOSH certificate (essential, with a diploma preferred)
• Knowledge and practicable application of Competence and Training management systems
