Aspire People are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Oldham, who are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all our students. The school we are working with includes a provision unit dedicated to children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and physical needs therefore take pride in their inclusive approach and aim to help each child reach their full potential.

The role is to start in September on a full time basis until the end of the academic year.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be instrumental in providing essential support to children within the provision unit. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and physical needs.
Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Supporting children with their academic and personal development, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications and experience in the field of special education are highly desirable.
A caring and patient approach to working with children with diverse needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
