ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN - OLDHAM - PERMANENT - 25,000 - 30,000

ARM have partnered with a specialist engineering company in Greater Manchester to help support their ambitious growth plans. They focus on the Repair, Test and Overhaul of Safety Critical Electronic and Electrical Equipment, predominantly within the rail industry, and are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join the team.

About You:

You will be an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician, specifically with:

  • Electrical & Electronic Assembly & Rework experience.
  • Understanding of standards ISO9001, IPC610/620 & IPC7711/21.
  • Soldering/Desoldering experience.
  • Wiring competency.
  • Ability to effectively "Self-inspect" work.
  • Computer literacy

What you will be doing:

  • Assemble, Test, Rework and Overhaul basic and complex Safety Critical Electronic / Electrical Equipment to IPC610 standard.
  • Cable assembly to IPC620 standard.
  • Ensure work is completed on time and in line with customers' requirements.
  • Be flexible to work in other departments as required.
  • Liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers as appropriate.
  • Training and mentoring of others as required, e.g. trainees & apprentices.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Oldham.

What you can expect in return:

  • Salary between up to circa 30,000 per year, DoE.
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Flexible working hours available within core hours of 7-5 Monday to Thursday and 7-12 Fridays. 38 hours total per week.
  • Compressed working hours option allowing up to 1 flexi Friday off per month.
