Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
  • Help with classroom management and behavior support.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as necessary.
  • Promote a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational and social development of young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
