Learning Support Assistant

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' education and supporting their individual learning needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Oldham school.

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing additional support to students with diverse learning needs, enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff, you will assist in creating inclusive learning environments and implementing strategies to meet the individual needs of students.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs or learning difficulties.

Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities to support students' progress.

Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.

Promote independence and self-confidence among students by encouraging active participation in learning activities.

Collaborate effectively with teachers and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student learning.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred.

Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs is advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish a supportive relationship.

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students' learning and development.

Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and age groups as required.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Salary: £95-£105 per day.
