Reed Health & Safety are working with a growing Construction company seeking a dedicated HSEQ Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within our operations. This role involves providing expert advice and support, ensuring the highest HSEQ standards across the group.
Day-to-day of the role:- Collaborate with a proactive HSEQ team to foster a progressive HSEQ culture at all levels.
- Develop and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives, KPIs, legal requirements, and ISO and industry standards.
- Support HSEQ aspects of bids, tenders, and the mobilisation of new construction sites.
- Contribute to the company’s HSEQ Pre-Qualification Processes for new suppliers and contractors.
- Review critical HSEQ documentation under CDM Regulations NI 2016.
- Conduct site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and non-compliance, and developing action plans.
- Implement HSEQ training programs and promote safety and environmental awareness.
- Manage responses to EH&S emergencies and incidents, including investigation and reporting.
- Coordinate HSEQ-related meetings and report to senior management.
- Conduct, review, and approve H&S Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments.
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the company’s HSEQ requirements.
- Represent the company in external HSEQ surveillance and recertification audits.
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSEQ role.
- Lead Auditor experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards.
- Thorough understanding of UK, NI, and ROI legislation relating to HSEQ.
- Experience with CDM NI Regulations.
- Ability to travel to sites as required.
